Vision
: Our vision is to accelerate Hong Kong’s transition to a low carbon society.

Mission: Our mission is to bring to Hong Kong a state of the art eco-theme park that will showcase the 'art of the eco-possible' and will be an inspiring haven to educate and immerse people in the realities of today’s environmental challenges and solutions.

Objectives:
  • To educate people on the world’s environmental problems and showcase technological solutions
  • To be a unique eco-destination providing fun and excitement for the entire family, with activities designed to educate the local residents, as well as the substantial tourist base from China, and elsewhere
  • In partnership with the Eden Project (UK), combine science, music, art and architecture to create a future looking and inspiring example of low carbon living
  • Empathy with the Eden Project’s Core Philosophy
  • A percentage of profits will go towards preserving local ecology and regenerating environmental and ecological restoration

The Challenge
If the world continues emitting carbon dioxide at today’s levels then average global temperatures could rise by up to 6°C by the end of this century. This is enough to make extreme weather events like floods and drought more frequent and increase conflict, poverty, disease and an increased migration of people. To avoid the most dangerous impacts of climate change, average global temperatures must rise no more than 2°C, and that means global emissions must fall by 20% by 2020 and then fall at the very least to 50% below 1990 levels by 2050.

Getting to 2°C
To the uninitiated, living a low-carbon lifestyle can sound like penitence, but cutting your carbon footprint should be fun and seen as a magic door of innovation and a new way of living. Many say that the transition to a low carbon economy offers the greatest economic opportunities ever known and those that have started on their low carbon journey already are seeing benefits such as new markets and customers, improved triple bottom line (economic, social and environmental performance) and reduced bills and risks.
